Pequot Lakes Fire Department Pancake Breakfast

7:00am to 10:00am

Located at Pequot Lakes' City Hall and serving their famous pancakes with Chokecherry Syrup to get you going. $7.00 for adults, $4.00 for kids.

3rd Annual Dru Sjodin Purple Elephant Race!

8:00am Start

This is the Third Annual Race to Celebrate the Life of Dru Sjodin and ‘To Stomp Out Violence Against Women & Children.’ Proceeds to benefit the Dru Sjodin Foundation. A life will be commemorated and a cause supported at the third annual Dru Sjodin Purple Elephant 10k & 5k Run, 5k Walk and Kid’s Free Run. This event is a fun, healthy way for the community to create awareness and uphold intolerance for sexual violence against women and children in honor of Dru Sjodin’s life.

Purple Elephant:  The elephant is a strong and compassionate mammal.  They are also extremely loving and sensitive toward their young. Dru loved this about them, which was the reason she wore a purple elephant tattoo and why the race is named, The Purple Elephant 10k/5k. To visit "Dru's Voice" website, click here.

Entry includes: commemorative t-shirts, free give aways, refreshments & snacks, awards given to top three (running) finishers in each division and gender, music, professional timing registration.

Arts FEstival

All day

Featuring artisans to satisfy the most prudent shopper. Enjoy perusing a variety of one-of-a-kind items and local artists. Food vendors will be available to take care of that hunger craving at any time throughout the day including the Pequot Lakes/Breezy Point Lions Club’s almost famous Shish-ka-Bobbers.

Kid's Arcade area

10:00am–2:00pm

North side of Trailside Park. A variety of Kid's games, including Plinko, Bean Bag Toss, Airplace Toss, Washers, and more with prizes for the kids to win. The American Legion Auxiliary will also be there with Chokecherry Snocones. Prizes Given! Fingerprinting will be available at no charge by the reservists in the Gazebo, all day.

Chokecherry Culinary Contest

All entries due at 10:00am

Category 1.   Jams, Jellies, Preserves, Compote, and Glaze.
Category 2.   Pastries.                                                                                    Category 3.   Wine.
Category 4.   Originality.                                                                         

All of the above categories must include Chokecherries.         

Categories 1,2,4 will be judged on the total points received in texture  (5) Flavor (10) general appearance (5).                                                                                                                                                                  Category 3 the wine will be judged on total point in Aroma (5) Color/Clarity (5) Flavor (10).

All entries due at 10:00 am Judging to start at 10:30am.

Pit Spitting Contest

All Day

($1.00/adult or $.50/child) A challenging contest because you first have to get to the pit.

Back Seat Driver

All day

The perfect game for that guy/gal that loves to drive the tractor around the yard - slightly more tricky due the the fact that they're blindfolded. He/she will have you to guide them through the challenge course - fastest time with the fewest mistakes takes the prize. Many have tried, few have succeeded...

Bocce Ball Tournament

Registration at 11:00am, Tournament Noon-6:00pm

$40 per team entry fee. Sponsored by Timberjacks: To register, call Billy Nemitz at 218-568-6070. Proceeds to benefit the community through the Pequot Lakes/Breezy Point Lions Club.

Water Wars

All day

Located in the North Side of the park, bombard your friends and loved ones with water balloons for buckets of fun! Want to have some good natured fun with a business competitor? A rival service organization? Your mom, dad, sister, brother, husband, wife, _________ , (your choice here)? Feel free to issue a challenge!
